Dear Reader, Well, nothing seems to be working, does it? Brexit, having failed to happen despite a "Do it or bust" bluster from the P.M., continues to hog the headlines while the huge matter of Climate Change is relegated almost to page 3 material. Worryingly also, is the increasing sense of aggression in the world, locally indicated by the large group of women MPs who now seem keen to stand down because of the violence thrown at them by extremist trolls and others.  Some are saying that since Brexit came to the fore in 2016 that society has become more polarised and is the main cause of the aggression just mentioned. 2020 Vision

Dear Reader, Firstly, my warmest best wishes to you and my sincere hope that yours will be a Happy  Year! My apologies, however, for this delayed wish as the first week of the month has been filled with all kinds of tasks and appointments that have fully occupied me. But I have also made some time to reflect more on what it is that I want to concentrate on this year and what is, furthermore, a new decade.  That reflection has caused me to see that this is very much the beginning of a new period and that anything prior to this year was 'the old time'. I feel sure that we now face a time of utter change - and a chance for something great to start to manifest itself despite all the apparent negativity that we see around us and in various parts of the world. How To Find Peace

  Dear Reader, The world continues to be in all manner of chaos - with CCC (COVID and Climate Change) being central to that situation, of course. There is a lot that's not all hunky-dory, but I am certain that amidst all that is being reported there are fresh roots growing, and that peace (individual and global) is attainable. There is particularly good news for all of us, in fact, and it lies in a conundrum that a great sage mentioned not so very long ago. This is a paraphrase of what he said: Your mind is continuously buzzing,  or there are various conflicts occurring around you,  and you say to yourself, "I want peace".  You want to know how you are to obtain peace. The answer is simple:  remove "I want". Then you are left with "peace". Does this sound too simple? In one way it is - it sounds trite.
