A New Science of Heaven

Dear Reader,

Way back in the mid-1970s, circumstances in my life suddenly - and shockingly - came to a full stop. At age 30, I needed to find some answers to certain questions about life and soon decided to quit my lucrative job in software development in order to do that while mulling my time doing some voluntary community work for a month or two.

I loved books, but until then they were mostly of the fictional kind. At this point, I paid visits to leading book shops (no Amazon then!) and was drawn to a plethora of books about our changing world - particularly about environmental studies but also about psychology and the sciences in general, and philosophy.

But some of the scientifically-orientated writers I came across were starting to look at the world through new spectacles and they fascinated me. Having been bored to death by the 'hard fact' scientific approach when I was at school, I loved these new books and their authors - particularly John Michell, but also another one that stood out for me: Professor Robert Temple.

Temple's one book at that time - The Sirius Mystery - proved to be mind-boggling;  a combination of anthropology and astronomy all linked to one West African tribe: the Dogon. The "mystery" that is central to the book is how the Dogon acquired knowledge of Sirius B, the white dwarf companion star of Sirius A, which is invisible to the naked eye.

Unfortunately, attempts were subsequently made to overturn the fascinating contents of the book, particularly critical claims that the Dogon found their knowledge through contact with Europeans at least 50 years before, but much of the substantial criticism was without hard evidence, and some of it was probably political. The book was actually reprinted in 1998 with Professor Temple taking the opportunity to state his concern about his detractors. He has since written other books.

He is a very compelling author and speaker. Therefore, having seen a very interesting video interview with Temple about his new book, A New Science of Heaven, this post is on the topic of this book. Please note, however, that there are one or two distortions in the sound early on in the video that you will need to bypass, or skip through.

The major part of the video introduces the theme of the book, but the later part produces an interesting discussion about the ramifications of his concepts.

The book rests on the topic of plasma (in this context, not the plasma related to blood), which is one of the four fundamental states of matter, but was not regarded as a state of matter until recent decades.

Plasma contains a significant portion of charged particles – ions and/or electrons. The presence of these charged particles is what primarily sets plasma apart from the other fundamental states of matter. Since it contains charged particles, a plasma can conduct electricity, and this is the potentially highly important part of its function, not merely for applications in the manufacture of objects (for example microchips), but in its role in the universe.

Temple, in fact, states that more than 99% of the universe is made up of plasma, and that includes its presence in what we call 'space'.

What triggered Temple's book was astronomical research in 2019 into two 'clouds'  near the Moon, called the Kordylewski Clouds, named after the person who observed them in 1961.

These two Kordylewski Clouds are each 9 times greater than the Earth and, significantly, are placed in such a position that they are not subject to the gravitational pull of the Earth nor of the Moon. Temple considers them to be both plasmic and intelligent and that they in some way act as a stimulus towards the evolution of life on Earth (see the video link above).

The following diagram (from Temple's book) shows a representation of the Clouds in relation to the Earth and Moon.

Having listened to the conversation in the tail of the video, I view the idea of the universe and its conductive plasmic content relating extremely well to the general (both scientific and spiritual) understanding that the universe is, really, energy. Therefore it gives supreme credence to the capability of prayer (which has even been scientifically noted as possessing power) and holy activity resonating through the universe.

A New Science of Heaven must surely help to inspire scientifically and materialistically inclined people! Planet Earth is in a state of great evolution - right now.

Thank you for reading this.
